Rules at Portland Fishing Lakes
On arrival
If you are here for pleasure fishing please check the boards on the lake you would like to fish for available pegs. Select an empty peg and set up, our bailiff will collect money from the peg.
To ensure a safe, pleasant experience for all anglers at Portland Fishing Lakes the rules below are also displayed on the notice boards located close to each of the four lakes.
Rules
- KEEPNETS ONLY IN MATCHES
- ALL NETS TO BE DIPPED IN THE BINS PROVIDED
- ONLY BARBLESS HOOKS
- MAXIMUM HOOK SIZE 12
- NO FLOATING BAIT
- NO CAT OR DOG MEAT
- NO BOILIES OR NUTS
- CHILDREN UNDER 14 MUST BE SUPERVISED AT ALL TIMES
- NO ANGLERS' OR VISITORS' DOGS ALLOWED NEAR THE FISHING LAKES
PLEASE BE AWARE
THE ENVIRONMENT AGENCY STATES THAT ALL ANGLERS MUST HAVE A ROD LICENCE.
YOU MAY BE ASKED TO SHOW YOUR LICENCE WHEN BUYING YOUR TICKET.
IF YOU DO NOT HAVE A LICENCE YOU MAY BE ASKED TO LEAVE THE FISHING LAKES.
